Updates On Headies Award 2022: Venue, New Categories and Prize For The Next Rated Winner

The prestigious Nigerian award (Headies) on the 1st march 2022 made a big announcement regarding their 15th edition of the Headies Award 2022

The organizers however took fans on surprise as the made several changes regarding the award ceremony.

This changes made includes :

New venue and Date

The organizers made known that the 15th edition of this award will not hold at home land but instead be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA 

For the first time in 16 years the award ceremony is living home soil to take place in diaspora.

They further stated that it will hold on the 2nd of July, 2022

New categories

The organizers also revealed that it would be adding to its catalog some new categories of award.

The new categories to be introduced at the 15th Headies include; 

- Music Executive of the Year 

- Best Afrobeat Pop Single (Nigeria) 

- Best Afrobeat Pop Album (Nigeria) 

- Best African Collaboration 

- Best International Collaboration 

- African Artiste of the Year

New Prize Tag For The Next Rated Categories Winner 

The award ceremony organizers added that thhe 15th Headies Next Rated winner will walk home with a  2022 bentley bentayga.

They also announced that it will be covering From October 2020 to December 2021 for its Year In Review.
